With all due respect, it seems ludicrous at best for a “Christian” to be talking about traditional marriage. There’s so many problems with that.
1. Esau, Jacob, David and Solomon, among others, had multiple wives.
2. The two main characters of the New Testament, Jesus and Paul, never married. It’s actually considered blasphemous to imagine Jesus as a husband, and Paul specifically stated men were better off if they could resist marriage.
3. The mother of Jesus had premarital sex with God itself. Which, I’m sorry, is about as untraditional as you can possibly get without dipping into Greek and Roman mythology.
As I told my brother, who was unwavering in his belief that only traditional marriage was acceptable, “I would hope you believe in traditional marriage since you did it three fucking times.”
I’m not the audience for Hallmark or Candace “Fuck you non-Christian Scum” Bure’s versions of romance, but I wish Candace had the vagina to be honest and admit the whold idea of “traditional marriage” is just a scam to let people pretend that bigotry is biblical.
