DVD News: Season 3 of “Adam 12” starring hall of fame hottie Kent McCord is out today

Gee, I’m sitting here thinking about who my first real-life guy crush was and pretty much can’t remember. There must be too much shame attached to the memory or something OC kid in the 70s like that.

But, I do remember my first TV star crush: Kent McCord. I’m not sure I even knew why but I could not take my eyes off of this handsome star of Adam 12 when I was a kid.

He and Martin Milner played LAPD patrol cops for seven seasons on the well-remembered NBC show and the two actors remain friends to this day.

It’s nice to see that the show finally got a DVD release with season one out in 2005 followed by the second season last year. I have both!

Created by Jack Webb, Adam-12 was a spin-off of the popular NBC-TV series Dragnet and similarly portrayed incidents and situations that were based on real LAPD cases. The names may have changed, but the cars, badges and drama remained the same.

It’s a classic!
