Don Lemon to get prime-time slot on CNN
Don Lemon has been doing solid anchoring for CNN on weekends forever so it’s great to see that he’s going to get a chance to shine weekdays in prime-time.
I’m always rooting especially hard for openly gay reporters and anchors.
FTVLive reports: CNN boss Jeff Zucker is moving Weekend Anchor Don Lemon to Monday through Friday at 11PM (8PM pacific time).
The 11PM time slot at CNN is currently running reruns of Erin Burnett’s OutFront. Word is that Lemon will also fill in for Erin Burrnett on her show when she goes on maternity leave.
Word is that Zucker has high hopes for Lemon and according to one source the show “will be given ample time to try and draw and audience”. The show is expected to hit the air in December.

Always a fan of Don Lemon. A big Congrats! But too bad former CNN Thomas Roberts left few years ago…that would’ve made given viewers CNN’s first news’ ‘Three Amigos’.
