Don Lemon tells ladies of “The View” why he made such a big deal about Kevin Hart’s Oscars debacle
Don Lemon paid a visit to the ladies of The View today and talked about why he has been so passionate about the Kevin Hart-Oscars debacle. The CNN anchor points out there since there are so few openly gay black men with a platform, he in some ways feels it’s his duty to take a stand.
“I felt like I had t speak for my group, my people, or nobody else was going to speak out.”

Tommy Marx says:
I have always had a lot of respect for him, even moreso now, but I am extremely appreciative of the discussion regarding minorities being bigoted to other minorities. I’ve never understood how some blacks could be so anti-gay, and I’ve never understood how some gays could be so racist. If you know what it’s like to be treated as less than someone else, how can you treat others the same way? I wish people would talk more about that, because I think the only way to fight against that is to talk openly about it. Hatred festers in silence.
Ed John says:
Congratulation to Don for pointing out the obvious that Kevin Hart is not up to the challenge of providing compassion or understanding in this matter.
