Documentary on life of Cher’s mom to air May 6

This is going to be really cool.

Cher’s still very glamorous mother, Georgia Holt, is the focus of a new documentary called Dear Mom, Love Cher that will air on Lifetime on Mother’s Day (May 6).

Miss Holt is 86 and quite the stunner!

Cher is interviewed as is her younger sister Georganne LaPiere, once a regular on General Hospital. Also appearing are Chaz Bono and Elijiah Blue Allman, Holt’s grandchildren.

Says Cher in a statement: “This project started as a gift for my mom’s 86th birthday. Like most things in my family, it was initiated by my sister Georganne, who asked me if I could update mom’s album,” said Cher in a statement. So I went big … I’m known in the family for doing that. My sister and I are proud of our mom and we want to share her with the world. My mom is exactly like Rocky. She never gives up!”

I had found out about this at a party a few months ago from someone very close to this project but was sworn to secrecy. So, of course, the exclusive went to Entertainment Weekly! But, I kept my word because if you don’t people won’t tell you things in the first place. Maybe good karma will reward me with another scoop soon!
