Details of the “Hollywood to Dollywood” DVD

I already have a DVD of Hollywood to Dollywood but I’m going to have to pony up for this upcoming expanded version of the wonderful documentary which is going to be filled with extras.

Gary Lane and Larry Lane have entered into a distribution agreement with Breaking Glass Pictures which will release the film on Nov. 6 – just in time for the holidays!

The film will be sold on Amazon, iTunes, Hulu, VOD, and more. The film is only 79 minutes but this new DVD will have over 90 minutes of BONUS footage. Since the movie was filmed two years ago, there will be an update on Larry and Gary, talk show appearances, awards, a film festival roundup, Dolly Parton herself weighing in on the film, a Bowen Birdhouse update, an interview with director John Lavin, extended interviews with Beth Grant and Dustin Lance Black, a live Q&A at NYC Film festival with Chad Allen and the twins, a live Q&A at Palm Springs Film festival with John Lavin, the twins, and Leslie Jordan, and Ann Walker. There will be new box art too. The pre-order date will be Oct 16 and 10 percent of every sale goes to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library charity.
