Daytime Soap Clip: Will Horton does EJ’s dirty deeds and meets Matteo on “Days of Our Lives”

Sorry for not posting these videos each day but if you have not seen them yet, they are GEMS!

I really love what is going on right now with Will on Days of Our Lives. He is dealing with his sexuality at the same time that he is beginning to work for EJ – under blackmail conditions.

The first two videos have Will (Chandler Massey) doing his errands for EJ and we also get to see the wonderful bromance between straight Chad (Casey Deidrick) and gay Sonny (Freddie Smith). They are so great together! Getting coffee together, Sonny says, ‘Sugar?’ Chad replies: ‘Don’t you think it’s a little early in the morning for you to be hitting on me?’

Love those guys!

We also get to see Will chatting with Sonny’s dad about having a gay son who tells Will: ‘Nothing about Sonny’s sexual orientation changes how I feel about him. I want him to fall in love  with a good person who makes him happy … We wouldn’t change one thing about Sonny. Not one thing.”

Will had been telling Sonny earlier about how he wasn’t leaving town and a lot of other thinly-veiled references to his sexuality even though he can’t seem to say the word ‘gay’ out loud.

“I’m tired of being good little Will,” he says. “I’m tired of pretending. I’m done. I’m done with a lot of things. I want to be open to things around me. New people and new ideas … I want to try something new.”

Right on cue, here comes Matteo (Jai Rodriguez), a potential investor in Sonny’s new coffee house which will be called Common Grounds, a place where anyone – gay, straight, young or old – can feel comfortable.

Will has a good chemistry with Matteo and agrees to meet him the next day then gets scared and retreats.

After Will flees, Sonny tells Matteo not to take it personally.

“It’s just hard on him,” Sonny says of Will. “[He’s] just not there yet.”

Here are the scenes – and kudos to Massey and Smith for especially strong performances in these episodes. Both are inhabiting their characters so well.
