Daytime Soap Clip: Luke’s mom marries his biological dad just as his adoptive dad returns from the dead on ATWT

I’m a little behind on my As the World Turns clips involving the wonderful but not always wonderfully written Luke Synder (Van Hansis). Luke has always adored his adoptive father, Holden, but thinks he’s dead. So he approves of his mom Lily marrying his creepy biological father who once shunned him because he is gay.

Kudos to the lovely Noelle Beck (pictured left) who has in the role of Lily for more than a year now and she really has made the role her own – not an easy thing when you are replacing Emmy winner Martha Byrne. But Beck is able to make you understand why Lily is marrying Damien so soon after Holden’s “death.”

These are the scenes leading up to the ill-advised nuptials and then … Holden’s dramatic return from the dead. Just as Lily and Damien are pronounced husband and wife, of course! And one more thing: Noah is out on a location shoot with Mason who has car trouble. Noah thinks he’s done it on purpose but either way, he’s so busted by Luke because he misses the wedding!
