Daytime Soap Clip: Luke’s dad returns to “As the World Turns!” But where was Noah?
Holden Snyder (played by the handsome Jon Hensley) returns from the “dead” and walks into this scene: his wife Lily and three children – including Luke – and the slimy Damien who is Luke’s biological and has just married Lily who thought she was a widow.
No wonder he passes out in the doorway!
“I’m happy to be back here, I’ve been waiting for this day for so long,” Holden says after he gathers himself. He then kisses Lily.
Lucinda, looking happy as a pig in shit says: ‘It’s a shame you didn’t walk in an hour ago.”
Holden then wonders what he walked in on. He finds out it’s a wedding he’s walked in on. Lily (Noelle Beck) is a mess and tries to explain. Luke, who is supposed to love his adoptive father so much, reacts so woodenly. As much as I love Van Hansis, his acting is terrible in this episode.
Lucinda (Elizabeth Hubbard) is delicious though with her few lines. She turns to Damien and says: “Wouldn’t this be a good time for you to leave?” She then tells a freaked-out Lily: “Holden is the love of your life, and he’s come back to you.”
Damien, who knew Holden was alive and being held captive, thinks otherwise.
Meanwhile, Luke’s boyfriend Noah (Jake Silbermann) is being a total spaz because he has missed the wedding and is sitting stranded in a car with Mason waiting out a rainstorm:
“I’ve GOT to get back to Luke!” Noah says.
It’s a bore – especially since he and Mason don’t even get it on. Two attractive gay guys caught in a rainstorm, one of them really hot for the other. C’mon, he’s not even gonna make a move? Well, who can blame him after Noah FREAKED OUT when he told him he was “cute.” THAT was the big come on?
Egads. Grow up Noah!
