Luke and Noah have been fairly scarce on As the World Turns recently but this week, their storyline was featured two days in a row.

Luke is dealing with his parents splitting up, yet again, but we know that the soap’s super couple Holden and Lily will find a way back together. And they should. I love that couple!

Speaking of couples, Noah’s college adviser Mason says it is “game on” as far as his trying to get his hands on Noah. It’s fun to see Mason have a few beers and show his true colors to Luke with a few bitchy remarks. And it’s a real treat to see Van Hansis get to do some fun catfight stuff with Mason. “Game on? Does Noah know about this?”

Noah (Jake Silbermann) only has eyes for Luke so this whole thing is just a silly tease. Writers (or show executives) chickened out of turning this into something really interesting like having Luke and Noah fighting and a vulnerable Noah turning to Mason for a night of comfort!

That’s what they would have done with any number of their straight couples.

Oh well, it is nice to see some Luke and Noah scenes and to watch the actors who play them interacting. No matter how annoying the storyline, they keep us watching.
