Absent Ellen DeGeneres takes to Twitter to congratulate her staff on outstanding talk show Emmy win

No, this is not a photo of Ellen DeGeneres at this year’s Daytime Emmys.

Had to dig one up from year’s past because Ellen did not attend the show held for the first time in Las Vegas!

But that did not prevent her show from taking home the Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show (Ellen had taken herself out of the host category after several consecutive wins).

Ellen did publicly convey her happiness via Twitter: Congrats to my incredible staff on their Emmy win. You guys deserve it. Don’t leave Vegas without hitting the poker table for me!
