Days of Our Lives: Will Horton is cleared of murder but outed by his very cute alibi at the same time

I’m so glad our Will Horton was on a date with a cute guy at a gay bar in Salem and not out murdering Stefano DiMera.

The guy is Neil and he strolls into the police station to tell Will’s grandfather Roman, the town’s top cop, that there’s no way he was out killing anyone because they were together.

Roman is shocked to discover his grandson is gay but Will calmly assures him that he is. He initially tells Neil that he doesn’t want anyone to get the “wrong impression” about his grandson.

“Grandpa, the impression that people would get is not wrong,” Will says. “Grandpa, I’m gay.”

Then we have Sami.

She has spent so much time being a self-absorbed mess that it’s easy to see why Will is so frustrated with her. But on this day, she channels her mother Marlena and is 100 percent there for Will as he comes out to his grandfather.

It’s a good episode and kudos to Emmy nominee Chandler Massey, first-rate as always, and to Allison Sweeney who is wonderful in these scenes.
