Days of Our Lives: Will answers Sonny’s marriage proposal then things heat up in the bedroom!

Today’s episode featured the first bedroom scene between the new Will (Guy Wilson) and the same great Sonny (Freddie Smith). Our favorite Salem couple hit the sheets after Will answers Sonny’s marriage proposal.
Will: “I’m only going to get married once; just once to YOU and then all of our dreams will come true.”
Sonny: “You Got It.”
I’m not going to reveal Will’s answer but I will reveal that there is a lot of kissing in these scenes!
Editor’s Note: To the crazy fans who wonder why some of the comments they write are not being posted: I will post any comments that are reasonable about anyone. But conspiracy theorists over casting changes etc. are not my bag. For the record, I loved Chandler Massey in the role of Will Horton, everyone knows that. And I think Chandler is a terrific guy who I’ve interviewed numerous times, had some meals with and visited on the set. But that doesn’t mean I’m not going to continue to try and enjoy the Will and Sonny storyline with a new actor. I don’t know the show’s producers or PR people. Please quit reading your strange theories into these posts – it’s silly.

My partner and I are definitely warming up to the new Will. I loved Chandler, but I always give a recast a fair shake.

“Heat Up”. Seriously like all the other scenes so far Greg this just falls flat. These 2 simply do not have any chemistry. It is not there. Guy just has not lived up to this hype and I dont know if that will ever change to be quite frank.

Guy Wilson is pretty good. He gave Will a new grown-up feeling while Chandler’s version was more like a backstreet sweet boyish style. I enjoyed both and I think the change to be more mature for Will is a right time. Let’s enjoy the new age of Will and Sonny story 🙂
I like both Chanlder and Guy a lot for playing Will very well.
Bruce Wayne says:
We had a saying, way back when I was in the biz…’relax–it’s just TV!’
I can accept the cast changes and the ‘new’ Will…but, he looks so young! 🙂
Nice scenes, though!

Great day for Guy Wilson! He is a keeper! Enjoyed the scenes today showing the romantic side of our new Will with Sonny. I see now why the producers wanted to start ASAP with Guy is because of the storyline. Who would want to see these scenes with Chandler and then find out that he was leaving. Best wishes to DOOL, truly an enjoyable day drama!
Lisa says:
This is ridiculous even for soaps. Turn down a proposal but the consolation prize is I will still have sex with you. Of course that happens in the real world. It feels like this was just scenes from other episodes pieced together to lure back some viewers as it makes no sense to current storyline. No human being would propose to their boyfriend/girlfriend when a family member of theirs was recently murdered. And well half of Wills family are responsible and Sonny is helping cover it up to. How does this possibly make sense? Still waiting for that birthday of Wills too DOOL.
David says:
How must Chandler feel seeing Freddy “cheat”? 🙂
Edward says:
Worst couple in daytime history, no chemistry and its obvious by the kissing that they think they can lure us in by using sex.
Daniel says:
Everyone just needs to relax about the New Will. He has been on maybe 4 episodes thus far and it will take some time for the audience to warm up to him. I loved Chandler Massey’s Will and was sorry to hear he was leaving, but the fact is he is now gone and DOOL continues.
I have watched DOOL for over 30 years (as well as some other soaps) and while re-casts are usually not ideal, they are necessary in order to keep characters and stories going. It will take some getting used to with the New Will, but if you are a fan of DOOL and WilSon, then I suggest you relax and go with it. The characters and relationship of Will and Sonny are important and having a committed, YOUNG, gay couple on a network tv show shows not only progress, but has the ability to actually change people’s minds.
