Days of Our Lives: Sonny to Will: “You’re out of the closet and cleared of murder in one amazing day. Smile!”

These are big, important days for our Will Horton.

He’s now out to the entire town of Salem and no longer a murder suspect.

Some wonderful scenes to share with you today at the coffee house with Will and Sonny (more Sonny, please!) and, the moments that made me cry a little bit: Will’s step-grandpa John enters the coffee house and congratulates Will on living his truth and gives him a huge hug: “You’re gay, you’re out and I’M proud. I’m proud of you kid for owning your own truth. Being a man about the ,an that you are. What you did today took some real courage.” Then grandma Marlena shows up and Will tells her: “I wouldn’t be me without you.”

Then Sami and Lucas show up. His dad says: “We just love you.”

Will is so cute through all of this, smiling and tearful and not sure how to act. It’s just a joy to watch Chandler Massey play moments like there.

Let’s hope he wins the Emmy tomorrow!

  1. Dear Greg,

Uh yes. I’m very proud of Chandler Massey in the recent scenes I had watched on Wednesday’s episode. I can’t even begin to imagine of the amount of work Chandler puts into getting ready for his scenes. When Chandler’s character came out to Sami and Lucas I was very touched by the scenes between Chandler and Bryan (Will and Lucas). When Lucas professed his unwavering love to Will it looked like Will wanted to cry. I wanted to cry with Will at that moment. I really do hope Chandler Massey gets a Emmy for the work he has on Days. Chandler so richly deserves this honor.

  2. Happy Days are here again! Great episode! Let’s keep the happy moments flowing! About time that we had some happy scenes in “Days of Our Lives!”

  3. What a dramatic difference in the storyline and the tone of dialogue from Chandler Massey’s coming out and acceptance from friends and family members compared to Luke Snyder’s teen character (Van Hansis) from As The World Turns several years ago, where instead the atmosphere was filled with closeted secrecy, conflict and tension. Yes, the change in public social opinion definitely reflects the supportive and nurturing environment for Chandler’s character. But gone is the wonderful, emotion wrenching and tension-filled cliff hangers at the end every episode of Luke and Noah’s storyline…it took fans on a great roller coaster ride!
