Days of Our Lives: Lovebirds Sonny and Will give each other engagement rings – tell his parents
Will and Sonny are deliriously happy and give engagement rings to each other.
They happily share the news with Will’s parents who have very different reactions. Lucas is immediately thrilled while Sami is not – at first.
Will makes a few speeches – and they do come off as speeches – defending their love and Sami chills out.
Interesting how the episodes features EJ in hot sex scenes with Sami and Abigail and you wonder if there will ever be less of a PG quality to the same-sex love scenes on the show.
Favorite line is from Will to Sonny: ‘Now that we’ve survived a baby, blackmail, bullets – you know, all the big stuff – there’s nothing that can prepare you for my mother in wedding planner mode.’

Days has done it again! Beautifully written for the past two episodes (Valentine’s Day and today) with Freddie and Guy delivering the goods with their excellent acting. I loved how the writers even brought in a little history about being gay through the gift that Sonny gave to Will – a book written in 1913-14 about a gay love affair, which was illegal in England at the time. It was titled “Maurice” by E.M. Forster. What was interesting was the fact it was not published until 1971, some fifty-six years later. Thank You DOOL for an excellent day drama and showcasing a beautiful couple and their loving relationship!
