David Hyde Pierce will be co-starring with Bette Midler in new Broadway production of ‘Hello, Dolly!’
Well, I like the sounds of this.
David Hyde Pierce, whose Broadway credits include a Tony winning role in Curtains and a starring role in Spamalot, is returning to The Great White Way as a performer.
He will star opposite Bette Midler in next year’s revival of the classic musical Hello! Dolly.
Pierce, best known for his role as Niles Crane on the long-running TV sitcom Frasier, was last on Broadway directing the romantic comedy musical It Shoulda Been You.
He will be Horace Vandergelder opposite Midler’s Dolly Gallagher Levi.
The production will play the Shubert Theatre with previews beginning next March.
