David Hyde Pierce to receive special Tony Award
He’s already won four Emmys for Frasier and a Tony for Curtains.
But David Hyde Pierce is going to have to make some room on his trophy shelf for yet another honor: It was announced today that the stage and screen star will be the recipient of the Isabelle Stevenson Award, which recognizes an individual from the theater community who has made a substantial contribution of volunteered time and effort on behalf of one or more humanitarian, social service or charitable organizations.
David is being honored for his work in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
Jeff Daniels and Lea Michele will announce the nominations for the award program’s competitive categories on May 4 at the New York Public Library for Performing Arts.
