Darren Criss to replace ailing Pink at Obama event

Now that he has officially endorsed same-sex marriage, President Barack Obama will arrive at a gala LGBT fundraiser in Beverly Hills on Wednesday a hero.

But one person who won’t be singing his praises at The Beverly Wilshire will be Pink.

She had to be hospitalized after coming down with a severe case of the flu and has pulled out of the event.

But I like who they have lined up as her replacement: Glee star Darren Criss!

After the gala, Obama will attend a fundraising dinner at the home of Glee creator Ryan Murphy.

The Hollywood Reporter says tickets are selling for $40,000 per couple and that both events are expected to sell out — no matter who is singing.
