Darren Criss headed to Broadway to fill in for Daniel Radcliff in “How to Succeed in Business”?
Hey, when you’re hot, you’re hot!
Deadline Hollywood reports that Glee sensation Darren Criss is poised to make his Broadway debut, succeeding Daniel Radcliffe as the lead in the Broadway musical How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.
According to Deadline, negotiations between Criss and the musical’s producers, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron and Broadway Across America, are expected to begin shortly after Glee co-creator/executive producer Ryan Murphy and the series’ producing studio 20th Century Fox TV gave Criss their blessing for the stint.
Criss would replace Radcliffe when the Harry Potter star finishes his run in early January. Criss would appear in the musical for three weeks and miss a total of an episode and a half of Glee.
He plays gay student Blaine on the Fox hit, has been made a full-fledged series regular for the show’s upcoming third season after joining the cast in season two and becoming a break-out star.
