Dane DeHaan ‘totally fell in love’ with Daniel Radcliffe while making “Kill Your Darlings”

Dane DeHaan may have married actress Anna Wood last year but that didn’t stop him from falling in love with his Kill Your Darlings co-star Daniel Radcliffe during filming.

‘While I was making this movie, I totally fell in love with Dan,’ DeHann tells Out Magazine.

DeHaan and Radcliffe play beat boys Lucien Carr and Allen Ginsberg in the film which hits  Oct. 16.

DeHaan shares the details of the first kiss between the actors – in character, of course.

‘We did it three times really fast,’ he says. ‘Then it was over, just like that. We looked at each other like, Holy shit. We just did it.’

He adds: ‘Any time I have a love interest in a movie, it’s my job to actually fall in love with them. While I was making this movie, I totally fell in love with Dan.’

Kill Your Darlings is not DeHaan’s first gay role. Three years ago, he played a promiscuous gay high school student named Jesse taunting his therapist in the HBO series In Treatment.

‘It was all about Jesse,” DeHaan says. ‘”Look how comfortable I am with my sexuality—so comfortable that I’m going to make you comfortable.” Lucien, on the other hand, was always doing things to get a reaction from other people, but he never talked about himself.’
