Clint Eastwood’s joke about Caitlyn Jenner will be edited out of Guys Choice Awards telecast
Clint Eastwood knows all about hits and flops and this one was bigger than his Jersey Boys flick.
Over the weekend, the Oscar winning director flopped during a taping of the Guys Choice Awards when he decided to make a joke about Caitlyn Jenner.
Eastwood, 85, was at the event to present an award to former wrestling superstar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson whose current film San Andreas is a rock solid box office hit.
During his introduction, Eastwood mentioned other athletes who went on to have acting careers.
‘[Like] Jim Brown or Caitlyn-somebody,’ Eastwood said, referring to the former Bruce Jenner who won the gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Olympic Games.
Jenner, unveiled as female in the new issue of Vanity Fair, starred in the legendary flop Can’t Stop the Music which also starred The Village People.
The all-star crowd at the Guys Choice Awards did not think Eastwood’s joke was funny and neither did the show’s producers.
‘We will remove the reference in the version that will air on June 18,’ a Spike TV spokesperson tells TheWrap.

Larry says:
Thou shalt not speak ill against another republican-Ronald Reagan… Well Caitlyn enjoy your party.
Joe says:
It is beyond my comprehension why this would have been censored.
K. Martinez says:
Political correctness has run amuck. There’s no reason to censor Clint Eastwood’s joke. I’d rather be offended and live in a free society than be in fear that what I say might be offensive to a group or demographic.
