Classic Movie Wednesday: Lauren Bacall asks Humphrey Bogart if he knows how to whistle

It was so wonderful to see 85-year-old Lauren Bacall get an ovation at Sunday night’s Academy Awards. She received a well-earned honorary Oscar presented last November and was on hand to be acknowledged once again.

Bacall, still looking glamorous and healthy, is still making movies more than 65 years after her 1944 film debut opposite Humphrey Bogart in To Have and Have Not.

As we all know, the two leads fell in love during the making of the film, got married and had two children. They also made three more movies together before Bogart’s death in 1957.

Of all their movies together, the most famous scene is this one when Bacall says to Bogart: “You know how to whistle don’t you Steve? You just put your lips together and blow.”
