Tennis icon Chris Evert opens up about her stage 1C ovarian cancer diagnosis – will undergo chemotherapy
Tennis legend Chris Evert has gone public about being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She has undergone surgery which will be followed by chemotherapy treatment.
Chrissie, a three-time Wimbledon champion and winner of 15 other grand slam singles titles, is now a tennis commentator for ESPN. She is my all-time favorite female player and is one of the biggest stars the game has ever had.
She shared her story with colleague Chris McKendry.
“As someone who has always had control over my life, I have no idea how I’ll respond to chemotherapy,” she says. “I have to give in to something higher.”
