Cheyenne Jackson lands role in new Ryan Murphy TV project “Open” for HBO
You gotta figure any actor in town wants to get involved in a Ryan Murphy project.
Just ask the cast of Glee or American Horror Story.
Cheyenne Jackson, the newly-single Broadway star with a growing TV and film resume has been added to the cast of Open, a pilot Murphy is doing for HBO.
Jackson did some episodes of Glee during the show’s first few seasons.
If the show goes to series, Jackson would be a regular.
Deadline reports: The series is described as a modern, provocative exploration of human sexuality and relationships. It centers on five central characters played by Michelle Monaghan, Scott Speedman, Wes Bentley, Anna Torv and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Deadline hears that Jackson will play a handsome meth addict.
Filming is expected to begin in February.
