Cheyenne Jackson is getting a divorce
Sorry for the light posting today. I’ve had some wifi problems that almost had me in the fetal position awhile ago!
Wish I had more cheery news to report (maybe it is – depending on your point of view) but Cheyenne Jackson is getting a divorce.
A spokesman for the star confirmed today that Jackson and husband Monte Lapka have split after 13 years together. They were married in 2011 when same-sex marriage became legal in New York.
In a a statement to Playbill, a spokesman for Jackson called it an ‘amicable parting and, understandably, a private matter.’
Jackson rose to stardom in the Broadway musical Xanadu and has had recurring roles on such TV shows as Glee and 30 Rock. He also appeared in the recent HBO Liberace biopic Behind the Candelabra.
When the couple married in September 2011, Jackson wrote on Twitter that he had just ‘married the best man I’ve ever known.’

Breaking up is never easy. Doing so after 13 years even more so. You hope that they remain in each others lives but for both of them there will be a sense of loss. For a while at least.
