Cheyenne Jackson comes to Outfest in support of the film “The Battle of amfAR”

So last night at Outfest – between the sold out screenings of Big Gay Love and I Am Divine, I attended a screening of a movie I wish had been better attended.

The smaller DGA 2 looked to be only a little more than half full for the screening of The Battle of amfAR, a terrific short film from Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman about the landmark AIDS advocacy group spearheaded with determination and passion by Dr. Mathilde Krim and Elizabeth Taylor.

The film has many wonderful interviews including with Miss Krim and others and I was especially floored by the footage of Elizabeth Taylor speaking before the Senate. She was dynamite!

Anyway, I wonder of more people would have attended the screening had they known that Cheyenne Jackson was going to be in attendance and taking part in a panel discussion after.

He’s been an international ambassador for amfAR for seven years and has a lot to say about AIDS.
