Cher to headline NYC Pride’s Dance on the Pier
Well I can’t BELIEVE Cher is performing at New York City Pride when LA – which had its Pride less than two weeks ago – is just a short drive away from her home in Malibu. She could have sang then said to her limo driver: “TAKE ME HOME.”
But, it’s too late. I don’t think I’m STRONG ENOUGH to handle this.
Okay, the song titles to express my envy is probably causing a lot of eyes to roll right now – including mine!
Anyway, on June 30, the one and only Cher will perform her new single Woman’s World (from her long, long-awaited forthcoming album Closer to the Truth) and several of her classic hits of which there are many.
The show will take place on Hudson River Park’s Pier 26.
Managing Director of NYC Pride Chris Frederick says in a statement: “NYC Pride is thrilled to welcome Cher to the stage of this year’s Dance on the Pier! Her performance will be one of the most memorable in the history of this world-class party. Now in its 27th year, the Dance on the Pier continues a proud tradition of partnering with all-star talent to create a high-quality event that raises funds to support local LGBT non-profits and New York City’s annual Pride festivities.”
