Cher blasts Michelle Bachman’s homophobic husband via Twitter: “WHO R THESE FKN People?”
No one expects a Republican candidate for president to be supportive of the LGBT community but Michele Bachmann’s husband seems to be going a bit too far.
The Think Progress blog reports that Marcus Bachmann was a guest on the Christian-based “Point of View” radio talk show in May and came out strongly against the LGBT community: “We have to understand: Barbarians need to be educated. They need to be disciplined. Just because someone feels it or thinks it doesn’t mean that we are supposed to go down that road. That’s what is called the sinful nature. We have a responsibility as parents and as authority figures not to encourage such thoughts and feelings from moving into the action steps.”
Uh boy.
Anyway, Cher took to Twitter earlier tonight and had some choice Tweets for the guy including her impressions of him: I’m thinking GAYGAYGAYGAYGAYGAYGAYGAY Without Style! … please utube this asshole & tell me what u think … Cause My Gay-Dar is GOING OFF !!!

i will never understand what someone’s life has to do with with that person. is it not possible for these gay-haters to live their own lives and leave others alone in theirs? why does a person like mr. bachman(he doesn’t deserve to be called dr.) care what someone else thinks, does or how they conduct their own, mundane life? live your own life-you know, live and let live. why is that such a difficult concept to accept? what are you afraid of? what part of gay terrifies you? is this like the boogeyman you learned about as a child? instead of trying to turn gay straight, a therapist needs to turn you into gay acceptance. but, i’m guessing someone’s gayness is just the tip of the ice burg when it comes to your social fears and terror.

My partner had me listen to “Dr.” Bachman on Youtube and my first reaction was: gay voice! My partner agreed. Admittedly it’s a stereotype and a cliche, but what can I tell you? And we’re a couple of old geezers in our 60s.
