Check out Jake Gyllenhaal’s first “official” photo as the “Prince of Persia”

I don’t know if Jerry Bruckheimer’s epic Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is going to be any good when it comes out next May. Frankly, I don’t care. I’ll be there on opening weekend because star Jake Gyllenhaal is buff and beautiful.

Entertainment Weekly features the first “official” photo of Jake in character as Prince Dastan.

“I’m tired of taking myself so seriously,” Jake tells EW.

He found himself sword-fighting, climbing walls, and jumping off of buildings as part of the prince’s quest to find an enchanted dagger and turn back time. “It’s nice when a stuntman turns to you and is like, ‘Actors don’t normally do this.'”
