Channing Tatum looking especially sexy in “Dear John” but can his pecs overtake “Avatar”?

When you have Channing Tatum take his shirt off in a movie, you gotta figure that would add several millions to the box office gross, no?

Well, it’s enough to sell me a ticket! I’m going to see Dear John this weekend because, well, I watch all of Channing’s movies even the dreadful GI Joe. I liked Fighting a lot more and he was wonderful in Stop-Loss and very sexy and sweet in Step-Up. Okay, I even loved him in She’s the Man so objective I am not!

In Dear John, which is being compared a lot to The Notebook, Channing plays a soldier boy named John who falls in love with a student girl named Savannah (Amanda Seyfried) under a full South Carolina beach moon.

The movie opens today and we’ll see if it can knock the mighty Avatar out of its number one perch after seven weeks on top!
