CBS to air one-hour tribute to Mary Tyler Moore

Wow. The outpouring for Mary Tyler Moore has really been so remarkable. I’ve been checking Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and have seen tributes from everyone from Britney Spears to Newt Gingrich. That’s pretty remarkable that someone was so beloved. One of my gay friends, who is a film critic, wrote on FB: ‘She was my Star Wars.’ That articulated so well how much MTM and her classic 1970s sitcom meant to so many of us. Anyway, wanted to let you all know that CBS said this afternoon it will air a special one-hour tribute to Mary tomorrow night. Gayle King will anchor Mary Tyler Moore: Love Is All Around, to air at 9 PM ET. And yes, MTM’s ultimate fangirl Oprah Winfrey will be among those who weigh in.
