CBS should have zero tolerance for racist and homophobic comments on “Big Brother”

You gotta wonder what CBS would do if day Paula Deen had a show on the network right now.
The TV cook lost her gig with The Food Network and all kinds of major corporate deals when it was learned that she had used the n-word in her past.
I think the network probably would have dumped her too.
But the group of racist and homophobic contestants on Big Brother who have been using a slew of them, so far they continue on in “the game.”
Aaryn Gries, Spencer Clawson and GinaMarie Zimmerman are prominent in a video (see below) made from the show’s live online feed.
The racist stuff is unbelievable and there’s plenty of misogyny too but I’ll focus on the anti-gay stuff because that’s what I focus on here.
Gries was caught calling gay contestant Andy Herren (pictured above) a ‘queer’ and Clawson (pictured, right, in sunglasses) called him ‘Kermit the fag.’
There are also reports that Herren has been called ‘Faggoty Ann’ and he can be heard on the video being called ‘a fairy.’
Among the other comments that can be heard by various houseguests: ‘Hey, where’d you put my shorts, queerboy?’ ‘That was the wierdest, gayest face I’ve ever seen,’ ‘Fucking dyke,’ and ‘No one is going to vote for whoever that queer puts up.’
The homophobic stuff is all around the seven-minute mark and runs through about the 8:30 mark.
This group – and there are several others guilty here – have got to be the sorriest sack of “houseguests” ever on this show. I stopped watching it about 6-7 years ago when producers allowed a guy named “Evil Dick” to remain after he burned a girl with a cigarette. And, I believe, he ended up winning the entire “game.”
Anyway, CBS aired just a small portion of the offensive remarks on Sunday’s episode which, of course, garnered higher ratings because of the controversy. Several online sites that follow the show’s live feed put pressure on the network to air at least part of the objectionable behavior on the air.
This stuff is disgusting.
‘We certainly find the statements made by several of the Houseguests on the live Internet feed to be offensive,’ CBS said in a statement. ‘At times, the Houseguests reveal prejudices and other beliefs that we do not condone.’

Honestly I don’t understand why anyone would be surprised. These people are casted thoroughly and extensively among many postulants and I doubt there aren’t psychologist evaluating their personalities, so they already chose those “problematic” personalities to make the show more controversial and therefore talked about. You don’t need to be an expert to know the types either, come on. It is a commercial tactic that is proven and that we have seen over, and over and over again in different reality shows. If all of the contestants were level headed people who love to be seated while being polite and friendly to each other, then the show wouldn’t stir that much reaction, hurting the ratings. That is also why they offer alcohol to make their personalities show all along with other ways of causing disruption and grudge. So they picked the obvious problematic kinds and later they say –how not- that they don’t condone what they say or do. That is like inviting carnivores to your home and act surprised or offended because they rejected your veggies, it was obvious it was in your calculations.
For them the worse scenario would have been no one picking a fight, then CBS would be really worried.

I just wasted 11 minutes and 49 seconds of my life watching this crap. If it wasn’t for the fact the host is sleeping with the head of the CBS network it would have been cancelled many years ago. Poor William Paley (CBS founder of the Tiffany network) is spinning in his grave.

Are all these people from the same trailer park on the border of Mississippi and Alabama?!?!?!?! I have never heard such trash coming out of peoples mouths. Is this how people talk outside of the big cities of this country? What has happened to our education system???? I bet not one of the know who the second president of the United States is or even who the last one was. What has happen to my once wonderful country!?!?!?!?! So pitiful and sad.
