Catch up on new Thomas Roberts show “Gay Good News” – guests include Michelle Visage and Kathy Griffin

Thomas Roberts, the first openly gay man to anchor NBC Nightly News, is an Emmy-winning journalist who used to have a daily MSNBC show and once worked for CNN.
Thomas is a terrific interviewer and anchor but had been off TV since leaving his job as an anchor for the CBS affiliate in Atlanta. But now he’s back and on his own terms.
Thomas launched Gay Good News in June with three episodes per week during Pride Month. His first guest was Instagram superstar Leslie Jordan and he’s since interviewed such stars as Fran Drescher, Kathy Griffin, Judy Gold, Ty Herndon, and Michelle Visage, among others.
But that’s only part of the show. Thomas, for example, interviewed Eric Cervini about his book The Deviant’s War: The Homosexual vs. the United States of America in the most recent episode.
It’s also fun to see some of Thomas’s husband, Patrick Abner, who is producing the show and done a few cooking segments.
Pride Month is now over but Gay Good News its just beginning!
Thomas announced this week that moving forward, GGN will become a weekly show with new episodes premiering every Thursday at 5 pm. ET.
“I was struggling with some purpose and this really gave me purpose and so you probably helped save my life this month by allowing me to do this show and by responding so much,” Thomas told viewers. “I really appreciate it and I’d really like to keep doing it for you because I’ve had a great time…. We’re going to keep going with this.”
