Carson Kressley tells “Dancing With the Stars” audience how “Queer Eye” changed his life

Carson Kressley and his partner Anna Trebunskay tangoed their way to a standing ovation this week on Dancing With the Stars.

But I want to focus on the remarks Carson made before the dance about how being one of the stars of Bravo’s late, great Queer Eye for the Straight Guy really changed his life back in 2003.

Carson is so funny, seems so confident, but life was not always that way. Growing up, he feld different, “like an outsider” and he feared no one would love him because he was gay. But Queer Eye “was just me being me” and it turned out everybody loved him.

“The greatest thing that happened with that show … was the blessing that allowed me ti feel comfortable with who I was and, probably for the first time in my life, be proud of who I was.”
