Caitlyn Jenner: ‘I have gotten more flak for being a conservative Republican than I have for being trans’
It turns out that being accepted as a transgender woman has been the easy part for Caitlyn Jenner.
Being accepted as a transgender woman who is Republican is the tough part.
The Olympic icon and reality star made the comment in response to a question from a student at the University of Pennsylvania this week.
Jenner, asked why she was not a Democrat given the party’s support for LGBT rights, said: ‘I have gotten more flak for being a conservative Republican than I have for being trans.’
Journalist Buzz Bissinger, who wrote Jenner’s Vanity Fair coming story and was present at the event, added: ‘Just because you change gender doesn’t mean you change your core beliefs.’
Jenner opened up about her transition: ‘No one transitions for financial gain. No way… You don’t do it unless you know deep down in your soul that it’s the right thing to do. If I can’t be honest with myself about what I’m doing, I’m no good for anything.’

FAEN says:
Caitlyn, this is what the REPUBLICAN Gov of my state plans to do should Charlotte, largest city in the country without an LGBT ordinance will do should one pass.
McCrory, a Republican, continued: “Also, this action of allowing a person with male anatomy, for example, to use a female restroom or locker room will most likely cause immediate State legislative intervention which I would support as governor.”
These are your core values? Transgendered men and women will be forced to bathrooms and locker rooms that do NOT fit their gender. How can you possibly support this party?
