Caitlyn Jenner takes to Twitter and describes Laverne Cox as “fierce and fabulous”

Current Vanity Fair cover subject Caitlyn Jenner took to Twitter earlier today to reach out to past Time magazine cover subject Laverne Cox.

Jenner, who joined Twitter just over two weeks ago and has 2.5 million followers, tweeted to the Orange is the New Black star: @LaverneCox, you are fierce and fabulous! Your support means the world. Thank you for all that you do for the community. #TransIsBeautiful

Cox, 31, spoke recently to US Weekly about Jenner and said: ‘It was really important for me to celebrate the beauty that’s not external for Caitlyn, her courage and that of all trans people. It’s important that trans people are not evaluated just on how they look.’

Jenner, 65, has posted less than a dozen tweets since launching her @Caitlyn_Jenner account

Update: Cox replied to Jenner’s Tweet: My pleasure. Sending you lots of love always. #TransIsBeautiful
