Brody Jenner opens up about how he gets along far better with Caitlyn Jenner than he did with Bruce

Except for a brief appearance on the Diane Sawyer interview back in April, Brody Jenner has remained mum about Cailtyn Jenner’s transition.

But Brody, 31, has a new reality show to promote and the questions about Caitlyn are coming.

‘Growing up, I didn’t really have the greatest relationship with Bruce, I didn’t see him that often,’ the younger Jenner said on NBC’s The Today Show.

Brody is one of two sons from Jenner’s second marriage to actress Linda Thompson which ended because of the 1976 Olympic champion’s struggle with gender identity.

Thompson had vowed to always keep Jenner’s secret even as he went on to marry for a third time, father two more children and become the patriarch on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality show.

It was three years ago that Thompson finally told her sons of their father’s Gender dysphoria,

It made Brody’s father make sense to him.

‘Bruce had so many secrets and so many things that were building up,’ he said. ‘There was a lot of moments that Bruce was not around and I didn’t know why.’

His older brother, Brandon Jenner, had told Sawyer earlier this year that he was getting a ‘new and improved’ version of his parent.

Brody agrees.

‘Caitlyn is just a much freer person. It’s incredible to see the difference between Caitlyn and Bruce,’ he says.  ‘Bruce and I kind of didn’t really get along. And Caitlyn? It’s literally like trying to get to know somebody — like your dad — over again. But in a better way.’

Brody appeared sporadically on Keeping Up With the Kardashians over the years but is best known for the reality show The Hills. He headlined the series Bromance, starred with Brandon in The Princes of Malibu and kicks off the new reality show called Sex With Brody on Friday on E!
