“Bridegroom” available on Netflix today, airs on OWN tonight – its powerful story will stay with you
I’ve written so much about this movie and tonight is your chance to see for yourself.
Bridegroom is now available on NetFlix everywhere. In the U.S., you can watch its world television premiere on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network tonight at 10:00PM PT/ET.
It is about love and loss, about the lack of rights gay couples have when they can’t get married, about parents who can’t accept their son being gay – even in death.
But mostly, it is a beautiful love story.
Don’t miss it.
Update: Shane Bitney Crone, producer and subject of the documentary, wrote on his Facebook page:
For the majority of my life, I hid in the proverbial shadows, ashamed of who I was, and afraid of what the world would think of me. Life seemed bleak until I met the love of my life, Tom, who taught me to live, and love, with honesty and unbridled passion. Even in death, Tom’s lessons live on, through me and our story. It’s difficult to describe the journey I’ve taken over the past few years, but I hope you will share it with me by tuning in tonight when BRIDEGROOM premieres on The Oprah Winfrey Network.
Bridegroom Movie is not about politics. It is a film about love, forgiveness, and discovering the courage to be who you are when the world says you shouldn’t. I am incredibly proud of this film, and am so grateful to have the opportunity to share this deeply personal story with you.

The rawness of this documentary/love is real that makes this all the more powerful. A true love story that pulls the heart that shows that love has no rules whether straight or gay. Be ready to watch something special and suggest watching with tissues. A must see by all.
