Breaking News: Dante’s Cove to return!

Stop the presses! (Gee, that expression is suddenly getting a little outdated, isn’t it?) Well anyway, here’s the big news: Dante’s Cove, ne of my favorite guilty pleasures, is finally coming back!

Here Networks has announced a fourth season of the sexy soap will begin airing in the fall. There will be 10 half-hour episodes this time around.

Hopefully all of the great cast will return. It’s headed by the talented Charlie David whose character of Toby really is the heart and soul of the show. While Toby is a good guy, the show has all kinds of delicious bad guys including Ambrosious played with great flair by William Gregory Lee and the 200-year-old witch Grace played by the great Tracy Scoggins of Dynasty fame. Grace’s sister (and rival) is played by Thea Gill of Queer as Folk.

Others in the cast have been Gregory Michael, Jensen Atwood (very different from his Wade role on Noah’s Arc), Reichen Lehmkuhl (he does quite well here), Jon Fleming and out actresses Michelle Wolff, Jill Bennett and Jenny Shimizu.

“The response to the first three seasons of Dante’s Cove has been overwhelming, and our audience continues to want more,” here! Networks founder and CEO Paul Colichman said in a statement. “We are thrilled to announce that production will soon begin on a whole new chapter of the series. The new season will be sure to please the faithful fan base that has been eagerly awaiting its return, as well as attract a whiole new viewership that will experience the intrigue and excitement for the first time.”

The new season will pick up after the near annihilation of the Cove and include mysterious new characters and, the network says, “even steamier plot.”
