Breakfast w/Greg: So much to be thankful for!
This is one of my favorite holidays and not just because of the pumpkin pie!
It’s such a joy to be able to0 spend these few days with my parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, close friends and godchildren here in The OC.
Yesterday, on the most beautiful November day, I was on the sand in Newport Beach throwing baseballs to my two godsons and it just felt like paradise.
Had to get some kind of a workout in since today, we get down to some serious eating! I am from a very large family and my mom always gives the Thanksgiving prayer and tends to go on a bit. Inevitably, I’ll catch the eye of one of my siblings and we’ll get the worst case of church giggles.
I like tp spend at least the first part of the meal at the little kids table because they are such a hoot and I try to get them to try things like cranberry sauce and yams. With food comas setting in, we all hunker down in the den and do something like have an I Love Lucy marathon (I brought the season 6 DVD set!) with our pie.
Love it!
So why am I blogging on this day? Because of a loyal group of several thousand readers who check in with Greg In Hollywood each day and make all my efforts so worthwhile. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day wherever you are!
