Breakfast w/Greg: An Eric Dane sex tape? Batt finds lust on “Mad Men,” ‘Lipstick Jungle’ actor finds new gig;

Before I get to the juicy stuff, I just want to say: PUBLIC OPTION.

Okay, I gotta move on because I worked up quite a head of steam this morning while listening to the NPR stories on health care reform this morning.

Are the crazies still gonna run this country just because they are louder?

VERY MCSTEAMY: I can’t believe how excited everyone is about an Eric Dane sex tape that has surfaced. Oh, who am I kidding? Of course I believe it!

The tape features the hunky Grey’s Anatomy star nicknamed McSteamy, his actress-wife Rebecca Gayheart and Kari Ann Peniche, a former Miss Teen USA  who was stripped of the title after posing for Playboy.

The Twitteratti are going nuts! A sample:

In a statement released Monday evening, the actor’s lawyer, Marty Singer, said of the tape: “This is simply a private, consensual moment involving a married couple, shot several years ago, which was never intended to be seen by the public. Although the participants are nude, the tape is not a ‘sex tape.’ It is a private tape made for only my clients’ personal use, and nobody has the right to exploit it. If anyone exploits the tape, they will be violating my clients’ rights and will be exposed to significant liability.”

You can see the tape on GAWKER.

MAD MEN’S GAY GETS SOME ACTION: Wow. After watching all those relatively chaste daytime soap Nuke and Kish gay kisses, this one from Sunday night’s premiere of AMC’s Mad Men seems downright scandalous!

I love it!

Closeted gay Salvatore Romano (played by out actor Bryan Batt) hooks up with a really cute bellhop – that is until the damned hotel fire alarm goes off. I think it went off because this scene was just too HOT!

See for yourself.

FROM JUNGLE TO GRIDIRON: I was really happy to read in Entertainment Weekly that Matt Lauria, who we were just getting to know as Lindsay Price’s gay assistant on NBC’s now-canceled Lipstick Jungle, has already landed a new gig.

Lauria is joining  the cast of NBC’s Friday Night Lights in its fourth season in the role of Luke, a charming yet cocky junior who reluctantly finds himself playing for Coach Taylor’s East Dillon squad.

The show will not air on NBC until the summer but its 13-episode fourth season will air on DirectTV far sooner debuting on Oct. 28. I dunno, seems kinda stupid for NBC to hold the show back until summer – good grief. No wonder they are in the ratings basement!

3 Remarks

  1. Thanks, Greg for posting the Mad Men scene. We don’t get AMC in Canada, and none of the Canadian stations carry Mad Men this season..not even the specialty channels.. which sucks.

  2. Yes, I think we’d all be happier if NBC aired Friday Night Lights at the beginning of the season, rather than waiting for DirectTV to air the complete season first. But NBC was going to cancel FNL unless it could find a cost-sharing partner, and DirectTV obviously wasn’t going to invest in the show unless it could have exclusive first airing rights. So, while it is somewhat annoying for those of us without DirectTV, it is a pretty creative solution by NBC to keep a well-loved and critically acclaimed, but low rated, show on the air. At the end of the day, I am pretty happy with the arrangement.

And NBC might end up airing FNL before next summer, if enough of its new shows tank. The 13-episode season will finish airing on DirectTV in early Feb., and as I understand it, NBC is free to broadcast it any time after that.

  3. Kyle, we do get AMC in Canada, but it depends on your cable/satellite system. Rogers, for example, carries it, but Bell (ExpressVu) does not. You can download it from the Canadian iTunes.
