Billy Eichner and Meghan McCain are in a Twitter war over Meryl Streep Golden Globes speech

Billy Eichner and Meghan McCain have kicked off the week in an fierce Twitter war.
Eichner just wasn’t having it when the daughter of US Senator John McCain took to Twitter to criticize Meryl Streep’s Golden Globe awards speech.
McCain, a Fox news personality, tweeted after the speech: ‘This Meryl Streep speech is why Trump won. And if people in Hollywood don’t start recognizing why and how – you will help him get re-elected.’
Eichner, star of Billy on the Street and Difficult People, immediately blasted McCain on Twitter calling her, among other things, ‘a f*cking moron.’
McCain responded by calling Eichner a ‘D list comedian’ and accusing him of living in a bubble.
The tiff exploded immediately after Streep’s epic speech in which she eviscerated President-Elect Donald Trump without once mentioning his name.
The three-time Oscar winner took him to task for mocking a disabled reporter and for his bullying in general.
Below are some of the tweets exchanged by Eichner and McCain.
Um she asked him not to make fun of disabled people and advocated for the freedom of the press and the arts you fucking moron https://t.co/IzZexd7Bb4

.@MeghanMcCain I rather live in a bubble than live with people who don't feel a need to respect the disabled, freedom of speech & the arts!!

.@MeghanMcCain Oh & another message from my bubble-can u ask dad to give back the MILLIONS he's received from the NRA? MERYL FUCKING STREEP!

.@billyeichner calling republicans like me "fucking morons" is a great way for Hollywood to bridge the cultural divide. Enjoy your bubble.

"Never get in a wrestling match with a pig because you both get dirty and the pig likes it". Done talking Hollywood and d-list comedians.

And I have no desire to "bridge the cultural divide" with ignorant voters who don't respect other cultures!

FAEN says:
Ms McCain, ever consider that YOU’RE the ones out of touch with the rest of the country?
Richard Vestal says:
Ms McCain, really, the president elect don’t like you either since you work for the press. Get real already.
Meryl Streep was talking about you, the disability shouldn’t be made fun of.
Joe says:
Billy just moved up to the A-list! LOL
