BFFs Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen were once set up on a date – but they never went
Imagine what a power couple Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen could have been.
The dashing, silver-haired CNN anchor and 60 Minutes correspondent and the ever-smiling host of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live (WWHL) and producer of the popular Housewives reality show franchise.
It turns out they were originally supposed to be a romantic pair and were once set up on a date by a mutual friend.
‘When we were set up … we had a phone call to talk before we actually went out on a date,’ Cooper said recently while guesting on WWHL.
A connection was made during that call, but not a romantic one.
‘I don’t know how, but both of us sort of decided, based on that one phone call, “We’re not going to go on a date,”‘Cooper said.
While Cohen has remained famously single and revealed that he often uses the Tinder app to meet guys, Cooper has been in a relationship with bar owner Benjamin Maisani since 2009.
