2 Remarks

  1. Listening to the new CD right now and love it. “Waterfalls” and “Come And Get These Memories” are my favorites. Love Bette and a ballad. Can’t wait to see Bette this May!!!!

  2. I have such mixed feelings about Bette. When she hit the concert circuit in 1973 she was so unique and such a breath of fresh air, that you couldn’t help but love her. She was brassy yet vulnerable and approachable all at the same time. And so pro-gay.

Today her support for us seems tepid, at best, and she seems to have taken her Hollywood film success to heart. She no longer seems like one of us, but like someone who sees herself above the great unwashed. I guess when you are surrounded by yes men and women all day, you can start to believe your own press.

This new album seems like it is taking her back to her roots. Let’s see how she treats her audience on this tour. Is she in on the joke with us, or is she little Miss Hollywood.
