Benefit premiere tonight for “Oy Vey! My Son is Gay!” starring John Lloyd Young, Lainie Kazan & Jai Rodriguez

If I were not in Palm Springs on a little holiday, I’d be at the Vista Theatre in LA tonight covering the premiere of the new romantic comedy Oy Vey! My Son is Gay! It not only looks like a lot of fun judging from the trailer (see below) but it stars one of my all-time favorites, the great Lainie Kazan.

She plays the mother of a man who tells her he’s into dudes and she utters the line: “Oy Vey! My son is gay!” There’s a lot more that goes on. From the looks of the trailer, coming out is just the beginning!

The son is played by one of my new favorite stars, John Lloyd Young, who I had the pleasure of watching perform twice last weekend at the AIDS Walk Los Angeles kickoff rally and at the inConcert musical celebration benefiting Project Angel Food.
