Ben Affleck congratulates Sam Champion – was “very inspired” by GMA weather anchor’s engagement
One of the most wonderful things about Good Morning America weather anchor Sam Champion becoming engaged to Rubem Robierb is level of support they are getting.
One of those who expressed their public support this week is Ben Affleck who was on GMA promoting his latest directorial effort Argo.
‘Oh, I want to congratulate Sam on his upcoming nuptials,’ Affleck said during his appearance on Monday.
‘It’s to our shame that you can’t get married in every state in the union, but one day I hope you will be able to,’ he added. ‘It’s very exciting, though. I was very inspired. Moving love story.’

Very poor taste for Ben to tell them he wishes they could get married in any state just because as a gay man when i heard that i felt really sad that they couldn’t and i know a rush of sadness took over the couple as well but Ben was trying to make a political point more than anything and at their expense.
Just wish them the best and that’s it.
