Beleagured Alec Baldwin is still talking – denies he called aggressive photographer a “fag”
Got no idea what to make of Alec Baldwin.
The TMZ video I saw seems to clearly show him calling a photographer a “cocksucking fag.”
He’s taken to Huffington Post to claim this: “I never used the word faggot in the tape recording being offered as evidence against me. What word is said right after the other choice word (cocksucking) I use is unclear. But I can assure you, with complete confidence, that a direct homophobic slur (or indirect one for that matter) is not spoken. In the wake of referring to a tabloid “journalist” as a toxic queen, I would never allow myself to make that mistake again, nor would I expose my wife and family to the attendant ridicule.”

To be honest, I’ve never been very invested in Alec Baldwin. He was always on the verge of being a real movie star but never quite got there. Then he got a great role on a hilarious TV show and every other week he was threatening to quit. If I was on a TV show, I’d be thanking everyone involved multiple times a day, not whining about the press and how hard it is being in the public eye. Here’s a hint, Alec: stop being a raging asshole, terrorizing your wife and calling your daughter a pig, and the press will forget about you.
Alec has made it clear time and time again that while he “supports” gay rights he thinks the worst possible label for a man is “faggot”, and he uses that label frequently. As many times as he’s been caught trying to belittle men by accusing them of (gasp) liking cock, how many times has he gotten away with it without being caught?
I remember years ago seeing some idiot at the mall wearing a t-shirt that said “silly faggot, dix are for chix”. That’s the kind of t-shirt I think Alec would find funny. He’d probably laugh at the infamous “AIDS kills fags dead” t-shirt too.
If he wants to protect his wife and family, may I suggest he get as far away as possible from them? The least he could do is save them from his bitterness and ugly attitudes.
But then that would require him to act like a human being. And time and time again, he’s proven that’s one thing he’s never been good at.
