Beekman Boys to return for holiday special!

http://www.tvtango.com/uploads/blogImages/217/beekman_boys_josh_and_brent_4.jpgSo are you a fan of The Fabulous Beekman Boys on Planet Green? It’s 10-episode second season does not begin airing until April but those wonderful boys Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Dr. Brent Ridge will be back before then for a holiday special in December, it’s just been announced.

These are the gay city boys bought an estate and farm in upstate New York and gave us a funny and irreverent peek into their world as a fish-out-of-water couple reviving the farm in order to create a new organic lifestyle brand, ‘Beekman 1802’.

The holiday special will offer clips from season one, some unaired scenes, some bloopers and a sneak peak at season two. It will partly be programmed by the fans, who’ll be urged to suggest their favorite segments via Facebook, Twitter and other avenues.

Questions are being solicited on PlanetGreen.com until Oct. 23.

The special will all hosted by Kilmer- Purcell, Ridge and their more experienced agricultural comrade, “Farmer John” Hall.

“It’s intended to be a tribute and a grateful big kiss for our fans,” president and general manager Laura Michalchyshyn said. “It has surpassed all our expectations and become our No. 1 original series.”

In February and March, season one episodes will re-air with pop-up messages and other enhancements, Michalchyshyn said.

One Remark

  1. I can’t wait to see your Christmas Special in December and then for your Season Two to start in April 2011. I’m sure it’s a lot of work to produce a Series but you all do a fabulously entertaining job! I just love the details you include in every episode including music and sounds to accompany each activity and interaction. You choose every neighbor and relative who is perfect for the part. I feel that the show is authentic….REAL. I Love it!

A special kudo to Polka Dottie. She underscores the authenticity because she’s not even Acting! (But then your Camera Men catch her at exactly the right moments.)
