Barbra Streisand did not mean to diss “Glee”
Barbra Streisand is coming off of a spectacular weekend that had her honored with an all-star concert at the MusiCares benefit then performing Evergreen at the Grammys two days later.
But the great star is also taking the time to clarify a response she gave to Entertainment Tonight when she was asked if she would want to appear on Glee – a show in which female lead Lea Michele has soared on some of her songs.
The response she gave was: “Not if I can help it.”
Barbra issued this statement saying what she really meant: “When asked if I would ever appear on Glee, I should have said, ‘You never know.’ It was wrong to say, ‘Not if I can help it.’ What I meant was that I’ve been overwhelmed preparing for my performance on MusiCares, the Grammys, recording a new album, and starting a new movie. So I couldn’t take on any more work, and besides that, I wasn’t asked.”

I think she meant what she originally said but then decided to back pedal to save face.

There is only one Barbra! This woman is ageless and evergreen.

I take the great Barbra at her word. It was the classy thing to do.
