Barbara Walters quashes persistent rumors about Rosie O’Donnell and trouble on “The View”
Rosie O’Donnell is one the several people who I have on Google alert.
In recent weeks, just about every day there has been some kind of story about Rosie causing some kind of trouble on the set of The View and being on the verge of quitting.
These always quote unnamed sources and usually pit Rosie against moderator Whoopi Goldberg.
I’m not buying it and neither is the show’s founder Barbara Walters who left The View last spring.
Barbara was asked by Extra this week about rumors that Rosie is leaving the show.
“Well, that’s not true,” Barbara said. “Everybody seems to be very happy as far as I know. Whoopi and Rosie… it’s a good group, it’s an interesting group.”
Rosie and Whoopi form half of the panel that also includes Rosie Perez and Nicole Wallace.

I feel the show it’s finally getting it’s groove back. This year’s panel is witting, informative, funny, passionate and diverse. Rosie seems to hold back allot but I believe this is because she is not in the drivers seat. A new role for her. Overall I came back to watch and have stayed with them. I love the ever changing set this year, funny how they gone back to what in essence they had before. I hope that they all come back next fall!

What Bruce said. In addition the show’s collective IQ shot up what with empty headed Sherri and the neocon not on there.

I have to disagree with Bruce…I watched the show last week and did not like it at all. There was so much tension on the set, it just depressed me. They were discussing Bill Cosby and Rosie just sat there, saying nothing, while chewing the hell out of her gum.. Everyone seemed afraid to speak… At one point Whoopi moved her chair and Rosie asked her “Are you mad?”.. Whoopi said no, I just moved my chair. NO I won’t be watching again. I am gay, but I do not like the “hateful” attitude of Ms. Rosie ODonnell……

Sorry, but Babs has zero credibility when it comes to telling the truth about “The View” IMHO. She has been shown to lie in the past to cover embarrassing or negative press especially regarding Rosie. Fool me once…

Hi Ron, Give the show another chance. I agree completely that show was a stressful one indeed. It reminding me of sitting at home at my kitchen table. Tensions could be thick but we moved on. Rosie chewing her gum is perhaps her way of coping. I watched the show again today as Cyndi Lauper was on and it was fantastic.
I agree with Steve, Babs, Babs, Babs be still and be quiet. We’ll never know the truth of what goes on behind the scenes but for the moment I for one am enjoying the show.

Rosie O’Donnell has become an annoying obnoxious loud mouth bully who seems incapable of having an open conversation with someone she politically disagrees with. She tries to beat them down hoping they’ll succumb to her domination. I’m getting the impression that she might also have a couple of screws loose. She’s my pick for the most negative impact gay celebrity out there today. At one time I liked her, but not now. ABC should pull the plug on “The View” and let that show mercifully die.
